How to request account deletion
To request account or data deletion, contact us on WhatsApp at +254745350021 or email support@mychamahub.co.ke with the phone number or email used on your MyChamaHub account.
How to request chama or member data deletion
If your request relates to a specific chama, include the chama name, your role, and the member record or group data you want reviewed. Chama administrators may need to verify or approve deletion of shared group records.
Required identification details
- Your full name.
- The phone number or email used on your MyChamaHub account.
- The chama name, if the request concerns chama records.
- A short description of the data you want deleted or corrected.
Expected response timeline
We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within 7 business days and complete eligible requests within 30 days after successful verification, unless more time is needed for security review, dispute handling, legal, accounting, or audit reasons.
Data that may be retained
Some transaction, payment, audit, security, dispute, legal, or accounting records may need to be retained even after an account deletion request. Where possible, we will limit retained data to what is necessary for those purposes.
What happens after deletion
When eligible account information is deleted, you may lose access to MyChamaHub and related chama dashboards. Chama-level records may remain visible to authorized administrators where they are required for group accountability or retained records.
